Summer is now in full swing and who can resist sipping cool beverages on warm summer nights? But when it comes to alcohol and health, it can be a hard toss up. So, this summer I've been on the hunt for tasty beverages that won't completely ruin my wellness endeavours. Here's what I found:
Spiked Seltzer
To put it simply, I am obsessed with Spiked Seltzer. Most notably, the grapefruit flavor. Let me break it down for you why: -They pack a punch at 6 percent alcohol (compare that 4.2% of most light beers) -They are incredibly light and refreshing. Due to Spiked Seltzer’s special brewing process, it truly tastes like your drinking regular seltzer.
-It's all natural, gluten-free, low carb, and low sugar. I think that is pretty self-explanatory.
-You can use it as a mixer. On the bottom of the cases, they have different cocktail recipes. For example thier twist on the mimosa, the "mermosa". -Low sugar=less hangover *Update: I have now started a part-time for SS...yes, that's how much I love the product!
Tiqo
Tiqo is a new premium beverage that is a combination of tequila blanco, coconut water, ginger, lime juice, tumeric root, and carbonated water. I don't think drinks can get much better than that ingredient wise! It's light, refreshing, and how chic is that bottle?
Greyhounds
Easy to make and tasty to drink, pretty much the perfect cocktail right? Just mix vodka and grapefruit juice, and you've got yourself a refreshing, low calorie cocktail. If it's too tart for your tastes, add some agave!
